Rumor: CNN "Poll" on Middle East Monday, January 12, 2009

An e-mail rumor suggests that CNN is "pushing" an online poll showing that more Americans support the Palestinians over the Israelis in light of the current conflict in Gaza.

The e-mail contains a link to a poll and encourages the recipient to "vote" for Israel.

In fact, the poll referred to in the e-mail is in no way connected to CNN or its affiliates and has not been mentioned as part of its coverage of the conflict in Gaza.
