Rumor: South Africa 'Expelling' Israel's Ambassador

RULE
Tuesday, July 20, 2010

A much forwarded e-mail rumor alleges that South Africa is considering expelling Israel's ambassador, and moreover, that its policy is being guided by the results of an online poll.

This rumor is false.

While South Africa did initially recall its ambassador to Israel protest the flotilla incident, according to news reports, the ambassador was reinstated in July 2010 and sent back to Tel Aviv.
