Rumor: UPS Shipping Policy Excludes West Bank Settlements

RULE
Thursday, December 14, 2006

An e-mail rumor has been circulating that suggests that United Parcel Service has an official policy of delivering packages addressed to homes and businesses in Palestinian areas of the West Bank, but refuses to deliver packages to Jewish settlements.  This rumor is false.

Company officials have confirmed to ADL that UPS does in fact deliver to Jewish settlements in the West Bank as well as to Palestinian areas.  Moreover, the company has no explicit policy of specifically singling out Jewish settlements based on political or other motivations.
