Spielberg's Crusades Movie Rumor is a Hoax

A story making wide rounds on the internet via email and message boards claims Steven Spielberg is directing a movie emphasizing Christian brutality during the crusades as a response to anti-Semitism in Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ."

A spokesman for Mr. Spielberg described the rumor as "a vicious and totally fabricated story."
