Dear Ms. McElveen-Hunter:
We extend our sincerest appreciation to the American Red Cross for its steadfast advocacy and diplomacy on behalf of Israel’s first aid society Magen David Adom (Adom) in its struggle to attain membership in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
In large part due to the efforts of the American Red Cross, we can finally welcome MDA’s acceptance as a full member of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The American Red Cross has acted with integrity and vision and we commend the crucial leadership role the American Red Cross has taken on this issue.
