ADL Applauds Signing of Senate Bill 200 Extending Anti-Discrimination Laws to Include Sexual Orientation

Denver, CO., May 29, 2008 ... The Mountain States Regional Office of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) applauded Governor Bill Ritter Jr.'s signing of Senate Bill 200 today, extending Colorado's anti-discrimination laws to include sexual orientation.

"The Anti-Defamation League applauds the Colorado General Assembly for enacting and Governor Ritter for signing Senate Bill 200, which will outlaw discrimination in Colorado based on sexual orientation in housing and public accommodations, among other areas," said Bruce H. DeBoskey, ADL Regional Director.  "No one should be denied housing or access to public accommodations solely because of his or her sexual orientation.

"All Coloradans should be proud that our state will now guarantee equal treatment in these important areas of public life."

The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.
