NBC Spotlight on Anti-Hate Campaign: ADL Featured in The More You Know Public Service Announcements

New York, N.Y., October 25, 2001 … Stars of NBC's "The West Wing" and "ER" are appearing in the latest installment of the network's Emmy and Peabody Award winning public service campaign, The More You Know, which highlights the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) as a key resource.

"We commend NBC for featuring some of its biggest stars in this unique campaign against hate," said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director. "Given the events of September 11th the message reaching millions of NBC viewers daily takes on an even greater significance. We are delighted to once again partner with NBC."

For the second year in a row ADL is the focus of diversity, prejudice and hate crime segments, this time featuring Stockard Channing of "The West Wing," and "ER" stars Eriq LaSalle, Alex Kingston and Ming-Na. The More You Know public service announcements appear during NBC's prime time, late night and Saturday teen programming.

Additionally, a number for more information is listed at the bottom of the screen during the segments, 1-877-260-7ADL. NBC's The More You Know Web site highlights additional facts provided by ADL and provides a link to the ADL Web site.

The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.
