IN THE MEDIA

Exposing extremists. . . calling for action. . . holding hatemongers accountable. . . monitoring hate on the Internet. . . announcing success in the fight against bigotry. For the media, ADL is a consistent, credible resource. Specialists in extremist groups, terrorist organizations, Middle East affairs, militias, civil rights, interfaith affairs, and a host of other ADL issues are available to journalists -- and the public -- to illuminate the shady world of hatemongers.

ADL ads on the NY Times

In addition, the League utilizes the media to focus public attention on key issues through national advertising campaigns. In 1997, for instance, ADL ran ads on the venerated Sunday Op-Ed page of The New York Times for several weeks to spotlight hate crimes, Holocaust denial, religion-state controversies, and other issues.
