Extremists

Useful information about the legal questions that may arise from extremist groups' plans to march through a city, distribute literature, display hateful symbols or otherwise promote their agenda in public places.

ADL continues to monitor extremists and to publish reports to expose them. In addition to 1998 Special Reports on how prison inmates develop and spread racist ideologies as members of prison gangs and how female extremists use the Internet to spread hate aimed at Jews, ADL released a report on the National Alliance, the single most dangerous organized hate group in America today. Explosion of Hate: The Growing Danger of the National Alliance reveals that the National Alliance has been active in at least 26 states, and that dozens of murders, bombings, and other violent crimes have been traced to National Alliance members or apparently inspired by the group's propaganda.
