In Israel

ADL's Israel Office continued to work closely with the Israeli Government on Israel-Vatican relations. After the release of the Vatican document on the Holocaust, ADL sent delegates to the International Catholic-Jewish Liaison Committee, held for the first time in the Vatican itself. The Israel Office spearheaded many interfaith efforts in 1998, including an event launching the Millennium (Jubilee) Celebration in Nazareth which brought together leaders of different religious communities. ADL also joined world business and political leaders at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
