California White Supremacist Pleads Guilty

Ian Morrow, a prominent Ventura, California, white supremacist, pleaded guilty to six felony charges in Ventura Superior Court.

Morrow, 39, is the leader of the racist skinhead Confederation of Racialist Working Class Skinheads (CRW), and until recently also operated the white power record label White Devil Industries.

On September 9, 2008, Morrow pleaded guilty to both street terrorism and assault by means likely to cause great bodily injury, with gang and hate crime enhancements, for his role in beating an off-duty security guard at a bar in downtown Ventura in August 2005.

According to authorities, Morrow and others made racial remarks to the Latino security guard and Morrow punched the guard in the face and head. Morrow already had a strike under California's three strikes law at the time of his arrest due to three prior convictions for felony theft, possession of an illegal substance, and hate crime assault with a deadly weapon.

Additionally, Morrow pleaded guilty to one count of street terrorism for a March 2007 incident while he was out on bail.  Morrow threatened to kill a Simi Valley pit bull breeder over a business dispute involving Morrow's dog.

Morrow also pleaded guilty to three counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm for the benefit of the Confederation of Racialist Working Class Skinheads gang.

After Morrow missed a court appearance over those charges in January 2008, authorities executed a search warrant of his home.  They found eight loaded guns, a bulletproof vest, an illegal pair of metal-laden Sap gloves, and Nazi and white supremacist paraphernalia, including a large swastika flag in his living room.  Morrow was captured in Pahrump, Nevada, in February 2008 and extradited back to California.

In accordance with the plea arrangement, Morrow will receive 15 years in state prison at his sentencing in October.
