“The French book Relation Historique des Affaires de Syrie depuis 1840 à 1842 by Achille Laurent was translated into Arabic by Dr. Yusuf Nasrallah.(15) Following are the main events: in that year, the Jewish community of Damascus murdered Father Thomas, an Italian monk who had been their friend and neighbor in Damascus…The sole motive for murdering the monk had been to obtain his blood for the ritual preparation of matzo [unleavened bread] for Passover, in obedience of a ruling of the Talmud, according to which ‘blood shed from a non-Jew must be mixed into the Passover matzo while he is still alive…’ When the murder was uncovered, the authorities in charge of the investigation were bribed into silence. Thanks to the assistance of local and worldwide Zionism, all the criminals were set free without punishment.



There is a book in Arabic, titled The Cry of the Innocent, telling the story of the abduction by a gang of Jews of a Christian child named Henry Abd al-Nur, for the same purpose of shedding his blood. In this case as well, bribe served to set the murderers free.” (pp. 88-89)

“To anyone who follows the trail of history, it is quite obvious that the Jews do not constitute a nation, a race, or any other kind of group… This people is free to suck the blood of all nations in order to satisfy its ambitions and promote its wealth and survival. 15 - Yusuf Nasrallah is also the translator of Rev. Canon Rohling’s well-known anti-Semitic text, originally published in German, which he titled The hidden treasure in the foundations of Talmud. The first edition was published in Cairo in 1899, and the second in Beirut in 1968 (Bernard Lewis, Semites and Anti-Semites, p. 134). Rev. Canon Rohling’s book Der Talmudjude (The Talmud Jew) is one of the major classics of nineteenth-century anti-Semitic literature (ibid., p. 106).
