Cyberbullying -- the persistent and intentional use of electronic communication to harass, threaten, intimidate or otherwise mistreat – has become a growing problem in society, particularly among youth. The Anti-Defamation League, a world leader in fighting bigotry and hatred, has taken a leadership role in working to combat online bullying by raising awareness through workshops, programs and advocacy.
For educators, families and youth, the League provides:
- School and community interactive training workshops and resources about cyberbullying dangers and strategies to respond, including the CyberALLY™ training program for middle and high school students.
- Free classroom materials and lesson plans on cyberbullying.
The League advocates at the state and local level for:
- Comprehensive bullying prevention policies in schools.
- The adoption of state bullying prevention laws, based on the ADL Model Cyberbullying Prevention Statute.
- Raising awareness through local action.
For more information or to schedule a program in your school or community, contact your local ADL Regional Office or e-mail cyberbullying@adl.org.
