A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute

As a leading provider of anti-bias education, the ADL's A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute recognizes that attitudes and beliefs affect actions, and that each of us can have an impact on others, and ultimately, on the world in which we live.

The Institute's customizable, interactive training programs are used by schools, universities, corporations, law enforcement agencies and community organizations throughout the United States and abroad. The Institute's training modules and standards-based classroom curricula incorporate the latest research from the education field.

The origins of the A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE Institute date back to 1985, when ADL and WCVB-TV in Boston initiated the A WORLD OFDIFFERENCE campaign, a series of education and media-driven programs designed to combat prejudice and create effective tools to address these issues in the classroom and community. The campaign's immense success led to ongoing programs across the country and several national awards including a Peabody, Gabriel and Scripps-Howard.

The A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE Institute's programs and resources are designed to help participants:

• recognize bias and the harm it inflicts on individuals and society
• build understanding of the value and benefits of diversity
• improve intergroup relations
• confront racism, anti-Semitism and all other forms of bigotry

Our Programs:

A CLASSROOM OF DIFFERENCE™ addresses diversity and inclusion in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade school communities.

A CAMPUS OF DIFFERENCE™ helps college adminsitrators, faculty members and students address issues of inclusion and social justice and combat bias on campus.

A COMMUNITY OF DIFFERENCE™ offers training programs to parents and families, non-profit and community organizations and civic leaders to enhance intergroup relations and address bias.

A WORKPLACE OF DIFFERENCE® programs provide coporations, businesses, non-profit organizations and government and law enforcment agencies with programs and services that help address bias successfully and create more productive, respectful and inclusive work environments.

A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute International Programs replicate the Institute's success in many countries throughout the world.
