Teaching mutual respect and an appreciation for diversity is critical to preventing the seeds of prejudice from taking root in young children. The Miller Early Childhood Initiative anti-bias training and resources have provided 19,500 early childhood educators and family members with strategies and skills to prepare children to succeed in our diverse world.
Early childhood educators, caregivers and family members who participate in The Miller Early Childhood Initiative training workshops (PDF) learn skills to help children gain comfort with and respect for diversity. They also receive support materials, created in partnership with Sesame Workshop, filled with anti-bias tips and activities that easily integrate into children's daily routines.
