Anti-Bias Study Guide
"An exceptionally well-conceptualized resource for teaching for diversity and democracy, and working within subject area content standards."
–Christine E. Sleeter, author of Un-Standardizing Curriculum: Multicultural Teaching in the Standards-Based Classroom

The Anti-Bias Study Guide (Secondary Level) is a curriculum guide for grades 9–12 that includes:
  • Lesson Plans: 32 lessons that support differentiated instruction and project-based learning
  • Standards: Alignment of all lessons to national education standards in multiple subjects
  • CD-ROM: Electronic versions of all handouts and reproducibles in English and Spanish
  • Additional Materials: Bibliographies and professional resources for educators
"ADL has proven once again that they have made developing anti-bias curricula an art form. Novice to seasoned teachers will appreciate the detailed lesson plans."
-Dr. William A. Howe, Consultant for Multicultural Education, Gender Equity and Civil Rights, CT State Department of Education

The Study Guide provides opportunities for team teaching and cross-disciplinary learning for educators working with students to:
  • improve communication and critical thinking skills
  • build conflict resolution skills
  • increase cross-cultural understanding
  • analyze information from a variety of sources
  • understand prejudice and discrimination
  • take leadership roles in promoting justice and equity
