National Alliance activity in the state is embryonic, with several preliminary, organizational meetings held in the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights in the last year. The group has a telephone message service based in Park Forest, another Chicago suburb.

In October 1997, on the morning of Yom Kippur, an NA bumper sticker was found pasted across the window of the Hillel facility on the campus of the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. A note reading, "It's time for a new Holocaust. Yours truly, William Pierce," was attached.
