This symbol originated in Hungary in the 1930s as the symbol of the leading Hungarian fascist political party, the Arrow Cross party, led by Ferenc Szalasi. The Arrow Cross party lasted until the end of World War II in 1945. Subsequently, the symbol came to be used by other racist and anti-Semitic groups.
