Louisiana Klansmen Arrested for Murder
Officers with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office arrested eight individuals following the murder of an Oklahoma woman. Investigators believe that the six men and two women arrested are members of the Sons of Dixie Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, a loosely organized group out of Bogalusa. According to authorities the victim met group members over the Internet and traveled to Louisiana to be initiated into the Sons of Dixie, however, when the victim reportedly wanted to leave, the group leader allegedly fatally shot her in the head. The investigation began after a clerk at a nearby store contacted police to report that two of the suspects had entered the store and allegedly asked how to remove bloodstains from their clothing.
