The New England State Police Information Network (NESPIN) is part of
the Regional Information Sharing System (RISS) center funded by the U.S.
Department of Justice. NESPIN is one of six centers that share
intelligence and coordinate efforts against criminal networks that operate
in many locations across jurisdictional lines. Typical targets of RISS
activities are drug trafficking, violent crime and gang activity, and
organized criminal activities. The NESPIN geographical region includes
Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and
Vermont. The center also has member agencies in Canada. |
