The National Socialist Movement (NSM), a Minneapolis-based neo-Nazi group with chapters around the country, has announced plans to distribute hate literature along the East Coast, from Maine to Florida, on July 4, 2004. The group has purposely chosen the day Americans celebrate their nation's independence to advertise their racist and anti-Semitic propaganda, and to exploit the publicity value of the holiday. In the past, the NSM's literature drives have not been widespread, and have gained few recruits for the group.
