Lane hints at illness, attacks "race-mixers"

Posted: January 6, 2005

In October 2004, a letter allegedly written by Lane from prison was posted to the online forum of the white supremacist Web site Stormfront. Referring to his upcoming 66th birthday and to unspecified medical problems that he said could "eventually affect my reasoning," he announced that "the time had come to set some records straight."

Lane's letter, titled "Misdirected Hate," ostensibly disavows racial hatred. "I, for one, do not hate anyone because of their race, color or other ethnic, cultural or religious difference," he says.

"In fact I like to think I have friends among all those divisions."

The real enemy, he says, are "traitors of my own Race, who embrace universalist mixing with the inevitably subsequent extinction of my White Race...racial integration is racial suicide for the White Race."

Lane says he hates betrayers of his race, but these "race mixers" appear to be mere pawns directed by "those whom we shall call 'Universalists,' who control the affairs of the world, are determined to mix and destroy the uniqueness, integrity and beauty of all different races, nations and cultures for their 'New World Order'..."

Who are the Universalists? Lane continues: "In this case, the word Universalists encompasses a multitude of mindless meddlers with doctrines labeled Zionism, Judeo-Christianity, Liberalism, New Agism [sic] and others. But regardless of their underlying doctrine they unite in labeling those of us who resist the mixing and destruction of our White Race as bigots, racists, haters, and the like."

Lane concludes on a weary note. "My friends, I've done all I can from prison cell [sic] these past twenty years, and for many years before that," he says. "Now age, health, stress and prison are having their inevitable effect."

Urging his readers once more to avoid "misdirecting" their passion, he concludes: "Fourteen Words to Victory or Valhalla."
