More Arrests in ELF-Related Attempted Arson in California

Posted: March 11, 2005

Three more suspects were arrested on conspiracy charges related to an attempted firebombing at a housing development in Lincoln for which the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) claimed responsibility.

Jeremiah Colcleasure, 24, Eva Rose Holland, 25, and Lili Marie Holland, 20, all from Newcastle, California, were each charged with one count of conspiracy to commit arson.

On December 27, three unexploded incendiary devices were found at the Lincoln development.  Graffiti at the scene included the messages “U will pay,” “Quit destroying their homes” and “Leave.” In a letter to news agencies, ELF claimed responsibility for planting the devices.

During interviews with the FBI, Colcleasure and Lili Holland said that Ryan Daniel Lewis organized the attempted firebombing.  Lewis, 21, also from Newcastle, was indicted last month on arson-related charges for his alleged role in planting five incendiary devices at an office building under construction in Auburn.  Lewis also faces charges in the Lincoln case and in an arson at a Sutter Creek apartment complex on February 7 that caused $50,000 in damages.

According to the criminal complaint, the four suspects attended a party at the Holland’s before driving to Lincoln and planting the explosive devices, allegedly made by Lewis.
