The National Alliance, one of the nation's most dangerous neo-Nazi organizations, held a rally outside the Israel Embassy in Washington, D.C., to protest U.S. support for the State of Israel.

More than 50 demonstrators, many carrying signs with anti-Semitic slogans alleging Jewish control of the Federal Reserve and charging that the September 11 terrorist attacks were caused by American support for Israel, participated in the National Alliance's fourth rally in Washington this year.

The National Alliance held two rallies outside the German embassy in Washington prior to the September 11 terrorist attacks, protesting that nation's efforts to prosecute neo-Nazi leaders in Germany. Following September 11, the National Alliance switched the site of their rallies to the Embassy of Israel.

Approximately 80 counter-demonstrators, many of whom identified themselves as socialists and anti-globalization activists, came out to protest the neo-Nazi rally. There were no incidents or arrests in connection with the demonstration. The National Alliance has indicated it plans future rallies in Washington.
