ADL Leader Confers in Rome

Rome, July 10, 2007 ... Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director, held a series of meetings in Rome with Italian government officials, Vatican representatives, diplomats and others to discuss issues related to anti-Semitism in Europe, the security of Israel and the Jewish community.
Mr. Foxman conferred with Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, Vice Prime Minister Francesco Rutelli, Justice Minister Clemente Mastella and former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.
Rome Mayor Walter Veltroni presented Mr. Foxman with the city’s “Capitoline Award” in recognition of his efforts in humanitarian affairs and Italian-U.S. relations.
