A video of an April 2006 rally held in Lansing, Michigan, by the National Socialist Movement, a Minneapolis-based neo-Nazi group, continues to circulate on the Internet. The video shows NSM members, dressed in Nazi regalia, making virulently anti-Semitic statements on the steps of the State Capitol. The neo-Nazis cap their comments with "Sieg Heil" salutes.
The NSM apparently posted a video of the Lansing rally to their Web site soon after the event took place last year. The video was then featured on YouTube.com, a Web site that allows the public to post, watch and share video clips.
In addition, the video was posted on an Israeli Internet forum called Tapuz. The version of the video posted to Tapuz contains Hebrew subtitles explaining what kind of group the NSM is and describing the rally. The comments in Hebrew are anti-Nazi and do not promote the group in any way.
ADL monitors the National Socialist Movement on a regular basis.
