Dear Mr. Press:

We were disappointed by your recent column, in which you stated that the tactics of groups opposed to health care reform were taking "… a page right out of the Nazi playbook" (August 6).

Regardless of the political and substantive differences in the debate over health care, comparisons to the Nazis are outrageous, offensive and inappropriate.  Such statements only serve to diminish and trivialize the extent of the Nazi regime's crimes against humanity, and the murder of six million Jews and millions of others in the Holocaust.

We hope that you will be more careful not to draw such comparisons in the future.
