Daniel Pipes Nomination
The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee is scheduled to consider the nomination of Daniel Pipes to serve on the Board of the U.S. Institute of Peace on July 23. President Bush nominated Dr. Pipes in early April. ADL has contacted the Sen. Judd Gregg and Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, Chairman and ranking member respectively, of the committee that Dr. Pipes is a suitable candidate for this position. The letters follow:
