The Militia Watchdog website has many resources designed for law enforcement professionals; the entire site should be explored. However, some items on the site are particularly useful for law enforcement officers, and are listed here. Militia Watchdog Mailing List. The Militia Watchdog Mailing List is a private mailing list for people with a professional interest in right-wing extremists. A majority of list members are law enforcement officers. It is an excellent resource for information sharing, requests, making contacts, and learning about the latest events. Flashpoint America: Surviving a Traffic Stop Confrontation with an Anti-Government Extremist. This is an officer safety article about potentially dangerous traffic stops involving extremists. Special Report #3: Shootout in Ohio: A Case Study of the "Patriot" Movement and Traffic Stops. Another officer safety article, this one was actually written first, and is somewhat dated. Special Report #8: The Shadows of Waco: The Tactics and Dynamics of Militia Confrontations. This study explores the dangerous situations that can arise when extremists suddenly show up at the scene of a standoff. Old Wine, New Bottles: Paper Terrorism, Paper Scams, and Paper 'Redemption' This bulletin explains the currently most popular "sovereign citizen" tactic. Calendar of Conspiracy. The Calendar of Conspiracy is a quarterly chronology of extremist-related criminal activity. It was started in 1997 and continued through 2000. A continuing version of this chronology will soon be available via the Anti-Defamation League.
