Building Bridges of Understanding
A WORLD OF DIFFERENCEŽ Institute
A WORLD OF DIFFERENCEŽ Institute was founded in 1985 by ADL's New England Regional Office and WCVB-TV. The Institute has provided diversity-awareness programs and anti-bias training to over 350,000 educators and has made a difference in the lives of more than one million public, private and parochial school students. A WORLD OF DIFFERENCEŽ Institute's Peer Training program provides youth with the opportunity to initiate and sustain positive social change in their schools and communities. Initiated in 1999, the program is currently operating in 25 schools throughout New England.
Interfaith Programs
The Interfaith Youth Leadership Program, servicing the Boston metropolitan area, works to promote understanding between Jewish, Christian, and Muslim youth through discussion and exploration of ways to combat prejudice, intolerance and bigotry. In addition, Connecting Communities of Faith provides a framework for clergy of different faiths to learn more about each other's faiths.
