The New England office of the Anti-Defamation League plays a crucial role in combating hate, extremism and terrorism, and empowers people and communities to join the fight.

Responding to Hate focuses on assisting victims of hatred and bigotry, with the goal of ensuring respect for individual and group diversity. Community outreach and education is also a crucial facet of this initiative.

Monitoring and Exposing Terrorism and Extremism Due to its extensive fact-finding and research activities, The Anti-Defamation League is a leading resource for information and background on hate groups, extremists and international terrorism. We offer public education programs, perform legislative advocacy, and provide critical training on hate crimes and extremism to federal, state and local law enforcement.

Promoting Security Awareness in the Jewish Community ADL has long been a trusted security resource for the local Jewish community. We provide extensive security information and suggestions before the high-holidays, as well as at other times of the year when the Jewish community may feel particularly vulnerable -such as post September 11th. On an ongoing basis, we offer educational programs focused on security, and pro-bono consulting on an as-needed basis.

The No Place for Hate® Program empowers communities to respect diversity and prevent and respond to hate crimes in their towns. To date, more than 50 Massachusetts cities and towns have been officially certified 'No Place for Hate®'.

Confronting Anti-Semitism teaches Jewish teenagers and parents how to identify and deal with issues of anti-Semitism. The program reaches thousands of adults and young people in the Jewish community every year through educational workshops.

The recent rise in anti-Semitism around the world has also sparked a demand for increased programming around the issue of fighting global anti-Semitism and Israel advocacy. The New England office of the ADL continues to respond to this demand through campus initiatives, workshops, speaker events, a petition drive, and numerous other community programs.
