The Central Pacific regional office of the Anti-Defamation League, located in the financial center of downtown San Francisco, covers a variety of issues as well as a geographically large portion of the United States.  This regional office's territory includes northern California and all of Utah and Hawaii, serving over 5 million people. 

In terms of specific issues, the Bay Area presents a unique conundrum with regards to anti-Israel sentiment and activities.  The progressive community, having deep roots in the counterculture movement of the 60's, often holds anti-Israel sentiments that can in turn influence anti-Semitism in the larger community.  We have organized programs trying to tackle this very issue through diverse speakers and the involvement of varying community groups, and are actively involved in building bridges within the greater Jewish community.

We are actively involved in promoting ADL's the A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute educational programming to school districts throughout the region, as well as offering Hate Crime and Diversity Trainings to law enforcement professionals.
