Confronting anti-Semitism and hate on Campus

Ben, a University of Denver student, was struggling to pass an engineering class because he couldn’t attend the group meetings held on Shabbat. An observant Jew, Ben had requested his fellow students schedule the sessions on any day of the week but Saturday. So he turned to ADL whose staff helped him report the incident to the university and wrote to the Dean of Engineering and the Chancellor. Ben passed the class, and professors now participate in diversity training.

As the academic year begins, ADL has resources and tools to help address bias and unjust incidents.
