ADL Shocked at Brutal Murder of Israeli Couple by Palestinian Terrorists

Jerusalem, October 1, 2015 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today expressed shock and outrage at the brutal murder of an Israeli couple at the hands of Palestinian terrorists.   Naama and Eitam Henkin were shot by Palestinian terrorists while driving with their four young children in the West Bank.  While no organization has yet taken responsibility, Hamas praised the attack, and there are reports of postings on social media by Palestinians celebrating the murders.

Carole Nuriel, Director of ADL’s Jerusalem office said:  “There are no words to sufficiently express our outrage, horror and sorrow over this heinous attack in which children witnessed the brutal murder of their parents.  World leaders who are gathered at the United Nations to discuss issues of peace and security should publicly condemn this attack and the incitement against Israel by the Palestinian Authority, which has created a fertile ground for the recent spate of violence in the West Bank and in Jerusalem.

ADL is the world’s leading anti-hate organization. Founded in 1913 in response to an escalating climate of anti-Semitism and bigotry, its timeless mission is to protect the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment for all. Today, ADL continues to fight all forms of hate with the same vigor and passion. A global leader in exposing extremism, delivering anti-bias education, and fighting hate online, ADL is the first call when acts of anti-Semitism occur. ADL’s ultimate goal is a world in which no group or individual suffers from bias, discrimination or hate.
