Federal Program Advisor at The Washington Center
Tyana first began her journey with ADL when one of her friends from California informed her about the organization. After reviewing information about the D.C. office, she was very excited to see that they had an opportunity to get involved. She participated in the regional Glass Leadership Institute and graduated from the program in 2018. Since graduating, Tyana joined the inaugural board for the NextGen Leadership Circle as Vice-Chair and serves as a member of the Education Committee.
One of the many reasons that Tyana wants to serve as a member for the GLI Alumni Advisory Board is because she deeply connects with the mission of ADL and loved participating in the GLI experience. One of the tasks she hopes to accomplish is build a social platform for the GLI Alumni network so that past members can connect and work together to think of ways to support ADL's mission.
Tyana was born and raised in Long Island, NY. She received her undergraduate degree from Eastern University and continued her education at West Virginia University to pursue her Master's degree.
What are you most looking forward to as a new member of the GLI AAB?
I am looking forward to working with the other members of the board to build a GLI Alumni Network that will benefit other alumni throughout the U.S.
What do you hope the board (or you as a member of the board) will accomplish and/or help solve within this year?
My hope is to create a social platform for the GLI Alumni Network so that when past members travel or are looking for individuals that have expertise on certain topics, they will always have a pool of connections to go to for advice or partnership opportunities.
