ADL Statement on Philadelphia Police Shooting of Walter Wallace Jr.

New York, NY, October 27, 2020 ... ADL (the Anti-Defamation League) issued the following statement regarding the fatal police shooting of Walter Wallace Jr. on Monday in Philadelphia:

ADL is deeply disturbed by the fatal police shooting in Philadelphia last night of Walter Wallace Jr.  We join calls for an immediate investigation and implementation of long-overdue reforms.

We are also concerned about reports of multiple people injured, including officers, in overnight confrontations. It is our hope that calls for meaningful dialogue and the promise of a swift investigation will help bring some level of  hope to a community in immense pain that critical change is on the horizon.
