Evergreen State College
2026 Report Card
Evergreen State College’s small Jewish community is supported by a Chabad.
What’s Happening on Campus?
In April 2024, anti-Israel protestors established an encampment at Evergreen State College. During the encampment, protesters flew the flag of the U.S.-designated terror group Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and held signs with messages that included "Glory to the martyrs. Glory to the Resistance.” That same month, graffiti was found on campus that read "Kill Zionists."
University Policies and Responsive Action
In response to the encampment, Evergreen State College signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the encampment organizers in April 2024. The University agreed to create committees and task forces with staff and student involvement focused on divestment, with the Investment Policy Disappearing Task Force publishing its first report in November 2024.
The college has offered an "Antisemitism Revisited" course, covering topics on how antisemitism affects Jewish experiences. Evergreen State also provides an "Anti-Semitism Studies" webpage, which offers educational materials about antisemitism, including historical and contemporary contexts.
