All the symbols depicted in the hate symbols database must be evaluated in the context in which they appear. Few symbols represent just one idea or are used exclusively by one group. For example, 100% is often used as an amount or an expression and it is also used by some white supremacists as shorthand for "100% white." Similarly, other symbols in this database may be significant to people who are not extreme or racist. The descriptions here point out significant multiple meanings but may not be able to relay every possible meaning of a particular symbol.

The Rise Above Movement (RAM) is a white supremacist group (originally known as DIY Division) that originated in southern California in 2017, with the goal of fighting against the “destructive cultural influences” of liberals, Jews, Muslims and non-white immigrants. RAM is part of the alt right segment of the white supremacist movement.
Operating almost like a street-fighting club, RAM emphasizes physical fitness, boxing and martial arts; some members have even traveled to Europe to take part in far right-associated MMA events. In 2018, RAM also launched a clothing line called “Right Brand Clothing.”
The RAM logo, which can be found on flags, shirts and banners, features a boulder with a sword stuck into it; the sword also serves as the trunk of an evergreen tree. RAM members also frequently wear skull masks or American flag bandannas to conceal their identity.
