ADL Launches AI Assistant to Help Educators Teach About Jewish Identity, Antisemitism with Confidence

Innovative educator tool uses AI to assist educators teaching about Holocaust, Jewish themes

New York, NY, February 26, 2026 – Today, ADL (the Anti-Defamation League) launched ADL Ora: an AI Assistant to provide educators in K-12 schools with at-your-fingertips access to accurate and pedagogically sound information for teaching students about Jewish identity, antisemitism, and the Holocaust. A trusted source, this closed AI agent offers dynamic capabilities, providing accessible professional learning and student resources all in one place.  ADL Ora is a modern, reliable solution for educators and schools.

“As concerns grow about bias in AI systems, ADL's new AI Assistant offers K-12 educators a trusted alternative—one built on our decades of educational leadership and evidence-based content,” said Ariel Behrman, ADL’s Vice President of Education “This tool represents the future of education technology: innovative, reliable, and committed to creating learning environments where students can thrive free from hate and bias.”

Conversations around Jewish identity, antisemitism, and the Holocaust can be sensitive and difficult to navigate, and educators’ comfort level with these challenging topics ranges. The AI Assistant is trained on a large ADL toolkit to provide educators with access to trusted, expert-vetted resources at the click of a button.

ADL Ora, which is trained on ADL’s Education materials, including Echoes & Reflections, is intended to assist educators in:

  • Planning and personalizing instruction
  • Navigating difficult or nuanced student questions
  • Responding to antisemitism in school settings
  • Building professional confidence and content expertise
  • Easy, 24-hour access to secure and trusted sources
  • Translation capability for national and international markets: Educators can ask questions and receive responses in Hebrew, Spanish, and German.

Not only is the AI Assistant responsive, but it empowers educators to plan, adapt, and respond when they don’t have access to an in-school expert.  And it couldn’t come at a more important time. ADL’s most recent audit on antisemitism in the United States found that 9% of antisemitic incidents nationwide occurred in K-12 schools. In a 2024 survey by ADL’s Center for Antisemitism Research, a significant 71% of Jewish parents noted that their child experienced antisemitic incidents at school. “I was amazed at how quickly the chatbot was able to produce lesson plans. I struggle with coming up with discussion questions for students and the ones in the lesson plans that the chatbot provided were fantastic,” said Illinois high school educator Nicole J. “I can see myself using this often to supplement materials and lessons that I currently use in my Holocaust and Genocide Studies classes.”

ADL is the leading anti-hate organization in the world. Founded in 1913, its timeless mission is "to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all." Today, ADL continues to fight all forms of antisemitism and bias, using innovation and partnerships to drive impact. A global leader in combating antisemitism, countering extremism, and battling bigotry wherever and whenever it happens, ADL works to protect democracy and ensure a just and inclusive society for all.
