New York, NY, November 25, 2025 ... ADL (the Anti-Defamation League) welcomed today’s announcement by the House Committee on Education & the Workforce launching a nationwide investigation into antisemitism in K-12 schools.
Jonathan Greenblatt, ADL CEO, issued the following statement:
“This House committee investigation is an important step in exposing and confronting the rising tide of antisemitic harassment, intimidation and exclusion that Jewish students face in our nation’s classrooms.
“ADL has long tracked and documented the spread of antisemitic incidents. We applaud this effort to hold educational institutions accountable and shine a light on the policies, practices and actions that allow antisemitic conduct to persist in school environments - and hope it further illuminates how these issues affect school districts across the country. We look forward to working with the Committee, school districts, educators and communities to ensure that this investigation leads to meaningful reforms and helps create learning environments where every student feels safe, valued and included.”
In a December 2024 survey of parents by the ADL Center for Antisemitism Research (CAR), 71% of Jewish parents reported that their child had experienced an antisemitic incident at school - underscoring the urgency of this crisis. ADL’s Audit of Antisemitic Incidents have found a disturbing surge of antisemitic incidents at K-12 schools in recent years, with 1,162 incidents in 2023 and 860 in 2024. Since 2020, antisemitic incidents in schools have increased by more than 400 percent.
