Matthew Segal
Matthew Segal is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of ATTN:, a media company that leverages creative storytelling and entertainment to explain topical issues. Since launching ATTN: in 2014, he has built the company into an award-winning, global media brand, which was acquired in 2022 by Blackstone’s Candle Media.
At ATTN:, Segal has led programming partnerships with platforms and media companies including TikTok, Meta, ABC News, and HBO, helping pioneer premium social video across emerging formats. His executive producer credits include HBO Max’s What Am I Eating?, Nickelodeon’s Emmy-winning Well Versed, and CBS’s The Hate We Can’t Forget.
Segal is a recognized media entrepreneur who has contributed to CNN, The Today Show, ABC News, and Real Time with Bill Maher. He has been named to industry power lists including The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen and the inaugural ADWEEK Innovator 50, and ATTN: has been recognized by Fast Company as one of the Most Innovative Workplaces.
In January 2025, Segal was appointed by the President of the United States to serve on the United States Holocaust Memorial Council, the governing Board of Trustees of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. He has produced extensive programming focused on civic literacy and fighting antisemitism.
Segal also serves on the boards of Complex Media and Shutterfly and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Previously, he was the co-founder and president of OurTime.org, one of the nation’s largest youth civic engagement organizations. He is a graduate of Kenyon College.
