Stacie Hartman
Stacie R. Hartman is a trial lawyer and leads the commodities and derivatives practice at Morgan Lewis, co-leads the digital assets working group, and serves on the U.S. Administration Policies & Priorities team. Stacie leads cases concerning the financial markets in courts around the country and in enforcement proceedings before the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Securities and Exchange Commission, and financial exchanges, and represents clients in financial markets investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice. She serves as the incoming chair of the ABA Derivatives and Futures Law Committee and is a frequent speaker and author on developments in the financial markets. She is recognized by Chambers USA Band 1: Derivatives Enforcement (Nationwide) and Chambers Global, as well as Legal 500 US, and has been named by National Law Journal as one of the Trailblazers in Cryptocurrency, Blockchain & FinTech (2022) and Trailblazers in Finance, Banking & Capital Markets (2019), and recognized for obtaining one of the Top 100 Verdicts (2022).
Stacie has been involved with ADL since 2016, both nationally and with the Chicago/Midwest region. She most recently co-chaired the National Commission for four years and has chaired various committees for the Chicago/Midwest region. She also serves on the board of directors for the Women’s White Collar Defense Association and as its global deputy vice chair. She is a graduate of Northwestern-Pritzker School of Law and Northwestern University and matriculated at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford University.
