Myth: Jews Use Christian Blood for Religious Rituals

Myth: Jews Have Too Much Power

Myth: Jews Are Greedy

Susan Abulhawa is a Palestinian American novelist, antizionist activist and the Executive Director of the Palestine Writes Literature Festival. Her novels, published by major houses including Bloomsbury and Simon & Schuster, have been translated into more than 30 languages and have sold over one million copies worldwide.

Abulhawa has more than 230,000 followers on social media and frequently uses her accounts to cast doubt upon Holocaust history, propagate historically antisemitic tropes of supposed Jewish control and bloodthirst, celebrate violence against Jews and Israelis, and praise leaders of U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs).

Abulhawa has written that "the biggest monsters on earth at the hour are Jewish" and that Jews use "tentacles to control the minds of your children."

Abulhawa is a mainstream literary figure with a “Big Five” publisher and a sizeable social media following. She uses this perceived credibility to spread explicit antisemitism at a time when antisemitic incidents worldwide are at record levels.

Abulhawa’s Literary Career

The ideas Abulhawa promotes on social media first reached a mass audience through her fiction. Her debut novel, initially published in 2006 as “The Scar of David” and later reissued in 2010 as “Mornings in Jenin,” became an international bestseller. In this novel, she called Jews “lily-skinned foreigners with no attachment to the land.” In 2026, Abulhawa secured a deal with Simon & Schuster to publish her Gaza anthology, “Every Moment Is a Life: Gaza in the Time of Genocide” and reissue “Mornings in Jenin.”

Holocaust Trivialization and Weaponization

Abulhawa is one of the most prominent American antizionist voices that engages in explicit Holocaust denial. In addition to casting doubt upon the historical facts of the Holocaust, she also weaponizes the Holocaust to mock and trivialize Jewish trauma.

Some of her posts contain references that are common in neo-Nazi spaces. For example, on multiple occasions, Abulhawa made antisemitic taunts about lampshades and soap, in reference to the well-documented atrocity of Holocaust victims’ bodies being desecrated by Nazis and turned into household objects. She has also questioned the authenticity of survivors’ concentration camp tattoos, a recurring tactic of Holocaust denial that seeks to discredit individual testimony to cast doubt upon the historical record as a whole.

A particularly egregious series of comments was posted on X by Abulhawa in July 2026. Referencing Jewish Palantir CEO Alex Karp, she began by stating, “first of all, he’d be more useful to humanity as a lampshade.” When confronted with criticism, she responded: “don’t forget I said bar of soap too. She added, “May each and all of you supporting Israel rot in hell.” Doubling down, she later wrote: “or a bar of soap. I forgot to add that perfect utility for Alex Karp, mass murdering demon.”

In December 2025, Abulhawa posted, “this is odd” on X in response to an image of Holocaust survivors showing the arm tattoos the Nazis gave them. She continued: "These men would have been small children during Nazi Germany. Most Jewish children who entered the camps were killed. Very few were tattooed. Newborn non-Jews in the camps were tattooed on their thighs or buttocks primarily.”

Antisemitic Rhetoric and Demonization of Jews

Abulhawa has, on multiple occasions, made antisemitic accusations and claims about supposed Jewish control and greed. She often aims these accusations at Jews as a group, including synagogues and Jewish institutions, which she says wield “inordinate power.”

She also uses her perception of the existence of Jewish power to dismiss and trivialize antisemitism itself, concluding that Jews cannot be victims, and that attacks on them are either deserved or staged.

In late May 2026, Abulhawa responded to a news story about multiple shootings at synagogues in Canada by complaining that Jews repeatedly whine about “blood libel” and the Holocaust “while their hands are dripping with our blood.” She added that Jews “seize the control levers of politics, media, finance, and public discourse around the world,” evoking several classical antisemitic tropes.

Earlier that month, Abulhawa posted an image of unknown origin on X featuring individuals sitting at a table with an Islamophobic banner alleging “radical Islam is a threat to America.” She responded to the image by posting that “Jewish supremacy is a threat to humanity and to our planet.” She continued by denigrating the vast majority of Jewish communities across the globe: “every mainstream Jewish institution supports genocide.”

These posts followed similar messaging on X in late April 2026. In response to the one-year anniversary of clashes that broke out in a predominately Chabad neighborhood in New York between pro-Israel and anti-Israel crowds, she posted, “only Jews can get away with this degeneracy in NYC,” adding, “but let’s all just pretend they don’t wield inordinate power.”

Violent Rhetoric and Support for Foreign Terrorist Organizations

Abulhawa has lauded terrorists, such as former Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, and has shared official terrorist organizations’ communiques, such as a statement from Hamas against the “Zionist fascist occupation,” directly to her own social media accounts. She has also expressed her wish for harm to be inflicted on Jews, Israelis and, in her words, to every Zionist “young and old.” The language she uses to refer to Jews — “parasites,” “demons,” “vampires,” — is dehumanizing by design to make violence against them seem acceptable and appropriate.

In July 2026, Abulhawa fantasized about a potential violent attack on a synagogue as payback for the “evil” that Jews allegedly foment: “Imagine if we blew up a synagogue or even a building with Jews in it. These demons are going to taste their own evil one of these days, though.”

A few months earlier, in April 2026, Abulhawa posted a screed on X wishing torture and death to Israelis and Jews while invoking historic antisemitic tropes about Jews as bloodthirsty and leeches on society: “fuck Israelis. fuck every synagogue and church who support them, and fuck the people who belong to them.” She added, “fuck every Zionist” and then said, “I hope they die like these parasites kill our babies and children. I hope their brains are severed out of their heads.” She then referred to Israelis and Jews as “these parasitic, ghoulish bloodsucking, blood-celebrating, blood-loving, blood-spilling vampires.”

Abulhawa has also shared official Hamas propaganda and has posted messages venerating former Secretary General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah and former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), Qassim Soleimani. In November 2025, she reshared a Hamas communique and added, “A call to all people of conscience, from the Palestinian resistance, for our people suffering unimaginably.” In a post from February 2025 featuring an image of Nasrallah and Soleimani, she added, “I feel lucky to have lived on this earth at the same time as them. May their light shine eternally, and may their legend pursue every deranged zionist killer until their last breath.”

A bestselling author with a major publisher is openly invoking blood libel, spreading conspiracy theories about Jewish world control, casting doubt upon and mocking atrocities committed during the Holocaust and openly supporting U.S.-designated terror groups.
