Antisemitism 101 for the Workplace

A 45 minute on demand interactive module, supports professionals at all levels in developing their awareness and understanding of antisemitism. Through participation in this module, participants will begin to learn about diversity of Jewish identity and culture; define antisemitism and the myths and stereotypes reinforcing it; recognize how antisemitism shows up in the workplace and ways to take action.

Two individuals participating in a "White Lives Matter" event along the highway in Killen held signs that included a swastika, crosshairs and a crossed out Star of David. The sign included a message that read: "With Jews you lose."

Queens New York

A man entered a bagel kosher bagel shop and threatened to burn it down. He also allegedly demanded staffers remove the store's Israeli flags.

Haverstraw New York

During a town hall meeting in Haverstraw, a man went on an antisemitic rant and threatened to run over members of the Jewish community. According to reports, the man's comments stemmed from a town hall discussion about a proposal to build a new synagogue.

A man harrassed a Jewish neighbor with antisemitic slurs and performed a Nazi salute.

Tempe Arizona

Antisemitic fliers that read, "Who controls the world?" with a Star of David were distributed around Arizona State University.

Washington D.C.

A Torah belonging to Tau Kappa Epsilon, a fraternity at George Washington University with Jewish members, was found vandalized and desecrated after the fraternity house was broken into.

Austin Texas

A synagogue was damaged after a fire, which arson investigators believe was set intentionally, was set outside its main sanctuary.

Chula Vista California

Antisemitic and homophobic messages were found spray-painted on doors at a middle school and high school.

Antisemitic conspiratorial fliers were distributed in various cities and neighborhoods in Hays County including San Marcos, Kyle and Dripping Springs.

Austin Texas

As part of their antisemitic "Name the Nose Tour" in Texas, members of the Goyim Defense League, a group of antisemitic provocateurs, held a flash demonstration outside the Austin Police Department. The previous day they dropped two antisemitic banners.

Goyim Defense League, a group of antisemitic provocateurs, hung a banner on an overpass near a Jewish community center that read: "Vax the Jews." They also walked around wearing t-shirts and hats with swastikas in a heavily trafficked area of of Austin.

Pennsbury School District reported that district board members received "violently antisemitic" threats that reportedly included phrases such as, "Death to the Jew" and "Good men are waking up to the Jew sickness."

A man was arrested after harassing a Jewish woman in Crown Heights when he approached the woman and spat in her face while yelling, "Hitler should have killed you when he had the chance."

Carmichael California

Aryan Nation, a neo-Nazi group, posted propaganda with an image of Hitler outside a Messianic synagogue that read: "Hitler was right." Messianic Judaism is a syncretic Christian religious movement that incorporates some elements of traditional Judaism.

A student at GW's Mount Vernon campus reported that she was "harassed when an image of a swastika was sent to her residence hall room."
