Antisemitism 101 for the Workplace

A 45 minute on demand interactive module, supports professionals at all levels in developing their awareness and understanding of antisemitism. Through participation in this module, participants will begin to learn about diversity of Jewish identity and culture; define antisemitism and the myths and stereotypes reinforcing it; recognize how antisemitism shows up in the workplace and ways to take action.

A Jewish man wearing a kippah was walking in downtown Chicago with his mother when a demontrator from a pro-Palestinian rally yelled at him, "Jewish people yes! Zionism no!"

A protestor at a rally in Miami held a sign that read: “Jesus was Palestinian and you killed him too!” This message directly invokes the age-old antisemitic accusation that Jews are responsible for the killing of Jesus.

At a rally, marchers chanted in Arabic, “Oh, Khaiber, Khaiber, oh you Jews, the army of Muhammad shall return.” The chant refers to a massacre of Jews committed by the Prophet Muhammad and his army, and is an implicit threat towards Jews today.

An anti-Israel activist, who is a leader of the antisemitic group Deir Yassin Remembered, protested outside a synagogue during Shabbat services.

A protestor at a rally in New York City held a sign that read: "The Nazis are still around they call themselves Zionists now." Such a comparison is offensive and trivializes the Holocaust and demonizes Zionists.

A drawing of a swastika was found inside an elementary school. This is the third time in recent months that this has occurred within the Mt. Lebanon School District.

Los Angeles California

A protestor at a rally carried a sign that included a doctored image of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with a Star of David on his forehead eating a Palestinian child with text that read: “Can’t Get Enough Save Palestinian Kids.”

The words, "Hitler is coming," were found written in chalk on a sidewalk in a residential neighborhood.

Los Angeles California

Antisemitic messages were found spray-painted on benches and pathways at Will Rogers State Park and the Venice Beach neighborhood. The messages are similar to ones found in April and read: "The Jew is guilt" and "Blacks are Jew puppets."

A Jewish middle school student was sent a TikTok video by classmates who were "goose stepping." The video contained hashtags that read: #DONTBEAJEW #KILLALLFAGGOTS #IHATEJEWS #IHATEGAYPEOPLE #KILLTHEGAYS and #IHATEFAGGOTS.
