Antisemitism 101 for the Workplace

A 45 minute on demand interactive module, supports professionals at all levels in developing their awareness and understanding of antisemitism. Through participation in this module, participants will begin to learn about diversity of Jewish identity and culture; define antisemitism and the myths and stereotypes reinforcing it; recognize how antisemitism shows up in the workplace and ways to take action.

An Asian woman was verbally harassed by another passenger on the subway after for not wearing her mask "properly." The passenger yelled at the victim, "You fucking Chinese don't speak English! Go back to China!" She also slapped the victim's phone away.

At an anti-lock down protest, protesters held signs directed at Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, who is Jewish, that read "Heil, Pritzker" and included a large swastika. Another protester held a sign referencing Auschwitz that read, "Arbeit Macht Frei, JB."

A sign in Greenpoint's McGolrick Park was defaced with a handwritten message that read, “CHINESE BASTARDS STARDED [sic] THis AND CNN + OTHER LIBERAL BROADCASTS COVER FOR THEM!…BECAUSE THEY HATE TRUMP THEY WOULD LET US DIE! THEY ShOULD ROT in hell!!!”

Brattleboro Vermont

The Essex county Democratic Committee candidate forum that was held via Zoom was disrupted by unknown individuals who drew swastikas, wrote "Hail Satan," and told one of the candidates, Brenda Siegel, who is Jewish, "shut up bitch."
